PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire capable of reducing rolling resistance while maintaining brake performance.SOLUTION: A pneumatic tire includes, in a tread part 2, a pair of crown main grooves 15, a pair of shoulder main grooves 16, a pair of middle land parts 30, and a pair of shoulder land parts 50. A ground contact face 2s of the tread part 2 is formed of a cap rubber layer 11. A loss tangent tanδ of the cap rubber layer 11 is 0.03-0.18. The middle land part 30 is formed with only middle lug grooves 35 each having one end communicating with the crown main groove 15 or the shoulder main groove 16, each having the other end terminating inside the middle land part 30, and each having a groove width of 2 mm or less. An angle &thetas;1 to the tire circumferential direction of the middle lug groove is 40-55°. A groove formed in the shoulder land part 50 and communicating with the shoulder main groove 16 consists of only a shoulder lateral groove 55 having a groove width of 2 mm or less. |
