PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable confirmation of finish-reading of e-mail by an addressee without applying a dedicated program to both sides of transmitting and receiving the e-mail.SOLUTION: An e-mail relay apparatus 1 comprises: a page generation unit 2; an e-mail conversion unit 3; and a confirmation unit 4. When e-mail 6 being a relay target includes finish-reading confirmation request information indicating necessity of information showing finish-reading of the e-mail 6, the page generation unit 2 generates a Web page 7 with which the received e-mail 6 is associated. When the Web page 7 with which the received e-mail 6 is associated is generated, the e-mail conversion unit 3 writes address information of the Web page 7 into mail text of the e-mail 6 and transmits the e-mail 6 to a destination 10. When there is access to the Web page 7 from the destination 10 of the e-mail 6, the confirmation unit 4 determines finish-reading of the e-mail 6. |
