The present invention relates to a floodgate for a river having a sealing apparatus which is developed to effectively prevent water from leaking when a floodgate installed to limit water introduced to or discharged from a river, agricultural water, and the like is closed. The floodgate for a river includes a concrete mold to which a pair of guide frames installed at a water channel in which water is flowed and having a penetrated gate to enable water to be flowed therein at a lower portion and a floodgate guide groove at a front surface in a mutually facing direction are mounted; a floodgate inserted between the pair of guide frames to be lifted/lowered; and a lifting/lowering device lifting/lowering the floodgate by having a screw thread at an outer circumferential surface to have a lower end mounted on an upper end of the floodgate and having an upper end of a screw rod penetrating an upper portion of the concrete mold coupled to the upper end of the floodgate, wherein a plate type pad having an elastic restoring force is mounted on a portion in close contact with the concrete mold at a back surface of the floodgate, vertical guide grooves are formed at both side surfaces of the floodgate, an upper end of the lifting/lowering device is coupled to a lower end of the screw rod to be rotated in back and forth directions, a lower end of the lifting/lowering device has a link coupled to be rotatable in back and forth directions with the floodgate; and one end of the guide frame is inserted into the guide groove of the floodgate to additionally have four closely contacting means pushing in a gate direction from upper ends and lower ends of both sides of the floodgate when the floodgate blocks the gate. |
