PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diffuser for a rotary machine capable of controlling a boundary layer in accordance with an operation state, and capable of improving operation efficiency, and to provide a rotary machine with the diffuser.SOLUTION: A diffuser for a rotary machine includes a diffuser body 10 installed at an outlet position of air A in an axial flow compressor 1, a separation restraining flow passage 16 for sucking the air A from an opening 11aA on an inner peripheral surface 11a of an inner peripheral wall 11 of the diffuser body 10 and blowing out the air A from an opening 12aA on an inner peripheral surface 12a of an outer peripheral wall 12, a dynamic pressure detection device 18 for detecting a dynamic pressure value in an extension direction in the diffuser body 10, and an air-operated valve 27 of a valve part 25 for opening the separation restraining flow passage 16 when a predetermined threshold is set as a boundary and the dynamic pressure value detected by the dynamic pressure detection device 18 changes to cross over the boundary. |
