PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately determine a fault location in a fuel tank.SOLUTION: A control device for an internal combustion engine controls the internal combustion engine including a fuel tank provided with a fuel gauge for measuring the amount of residual fuel. In the control device, the amount of fuel supply is calculated by estimating the amount of fuel injection. The amount of fuel consumption is calculated on the basis of a measured value by the fuel gauge. A determination is made that an abnormality occurs in the fuel tank when a difference between the amount of fuel supply and the amount of fuel consumption is a predetermined value or more. |
