PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To diminish an adverse effect of oscillation of an electric motor or the like of an electric power steering system, and suppress degradation of durability.SOLUTION: In a rack housing 5, a deceleration mechanism accommodation unit 5c that accommodates a deceleration mechanism 4a interposed between an electric motor 4 and a rack shaft 3, and a gear mechanism accommodation unit 5b that accommodates a gear mechanism 2d linking a steering mechanism 2 and the rack shaft 3 are formed at positions distant in an extending direction of the rack shaft 3. An electronic control unit 6 is fixed to the peripheral side of the rack housing 5 at a position between the deceleration mechanism accommodation unit 5c and gear mechanism accommodation unit 5b (fixed to a rack shaft accommodation unit 5a). The electric motor 4 is fixed to the peripheral side of the deceleration mechanism accommodation unit 5c, and at least part of connection wirings 4c and 4d between the electric motor 4 and electronic control unit 6 is stowed in the rack housing 5. |
