PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermistor element having excellent thermal resistance and high strength, and capable of obtaining high fastening strength by burring a lead wire at a relatively low temperature, and a manufacturing method therefor.SOLUTION: A thermistor element 1 comprises a thermistor element assembly 2 and a pair of lead wires 3 inserted into the thermistor element assembly and fixed therein, the thermistor element assembly being a composite composed of a thermistor particle 4 and an inorganic material 5 formed by solidification of an aluminosilicate compound by alkali dissolution and dehydration-polycondensation. The thermistor particle should preferably a perovskite-type metal oxide or a spinel-type metal oxide.
