<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a clearance generated by accumulation of dimensional tolerance in members to be adjusted by a shim, while avoiding upsizing of an axial dimension in an automatic transmission.SOLUTION: A shim 50 is arranged between a clutch drum 31 of a second clutch C2 and a sun gear Sd of a planetary gear mechanism PGSd, where the second clutch is capable of coupling a ring gear Rc of a planetary gear mechanism PGSc with the sun gear Sd of the planetary gear mechanism PGSd. Insertion of the shim 50 does not affect relative distances between components of the planetary gear mechanism PGSd or distances between components of the second clutch C2. In addition, a dead space between the planetary gear mechanism PGSd and the second clutch C2 can be used for the arrangement of the shim 50. As a result, an increase in an axial dimension of an automatic transmission can be minimized.</p> |
