FIELD: physics, video.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a record playback device, where video and audio signals received from an external source are output without recording and played back, as well as an editing system. Disclosed is a record playback device comprising: a video signal converter which performs defined signal processing for a video signal received from an external source, and outputs the resultant video signal; a recording device player which stores and plays back a video signal; and a controller which performs switching between a normal mode and an edit mode based on control performed by the editing device which controls the record playback device. In the normal mode, the video signal played back by the recording device player is transmitted to a display where the video signal is displayed as an image. The edit mode includes performing switching between a first video signal transmitted from the video signal converter and a second video signal obtained by adding a delay which corresponds to the time needed to process signals in the video signal converter to the video signal played back by the recording device player, for displaying the resultant video signal on the display.EFFECT: facilitating control, wherein display of main video and edited video is switched to a screen in real time.8 cl, 8 dwg |
