FIELD: instrumentation.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement equipment, in particular, for detection of electric machine bearing condition. The method consists in the fact that by means of a sensor unit (20) they detect measured value (21). The measured value is sent to a modelling unit (22). By means of the modelling unit (22) they determine a resulting value (23), besides, the resulting value represents, in particular, the value of bearing current or the value that depends on bearing current. The resulting value (23) is sent to an assessment unit (24), by means of which the resulting value (23) is processed in such a manner that they determine the value of bearing condition. At the same time the values (25, 27) of bearing condition or the value that depend on the values of bearing condition are saved together with the value (31) of the current rectifier (1) condition.
