PURPOSE: A system and a method of calling API of a host terminal in a smart card, the host terminal and the smart card, a recording medium for the same are provided to use an API of the host terminal in the smart card, thereby providing module or content which has high complexity in the smart card. CONSTITUTION: A storing device receives an API call from a program(S71). The storing device checks whether a API exists in the storing device(S73). If the API cannot be processed in the storing unit, the storing device transmits an API executing request message to a host terminal(S75). The host terminal refers the API execution request message to execute the API(S77). The host terminal transmits a result value executing the API to the storing device(S79). The storing device, which receives an API execution result value, returns the result value into the program, which called the API(S81).
