PURPOSE: An illumination driving apparatus is provided to set a tilted angle of an illumination apparatus of a monitoring camera to make an optical axis to be a hypotenuse of a right-angled triangle. CONSTITUTION: A distance measuring unit measures a subject distance between monitoring cameras(1a,1b,1c) and a subject(42). A control unit calculates a tilted angle of an illumination apparatus(21) of the monitoring camera by a trigonometrical function of a right-angled triangle. The distance between the distance measuring unit and the subject is the base line of the right-angled triangle. The interval between the monitoring camera and the illumination device is the height of the right-angled triangle. A driving unit drives the illumination device by the tilted angle of the control unit. |
