A device for arc welding with fusible wire comprising means (1) for setting the wire speed (Vf) and means (2) for selecting a metal transfer rate type, the means (1) for setting the wire speed (Vf) being manoeuvrable by the hands or fingers of an operator. According to the invention, the means (2) for selecting a metal transfer rate type cooperate with the means (1) for setting the wire speed (Vf) in such a way as to allow the operator to set the wire speed (Vf) by manoeuvring said means (1) for setting the wire speed (Vf) and to automatically select, on the basis of said wire speed (Vf) setting, a metal transfer rate type. |
