The system (100) has a cage (110) including an inlet opening (112) and an outlet opening (114) and rotatably mounted relative to a frame (101) around a rotation axis (150). An identification device is designed to identify presence of an animal in the cage. A setting unit swivels the cage around the axis and stops swiveling of the cage when the outlet opening is aligned with one of exit doors (104, 106). An operation unit operates a main door (102). A control unit controls the operation unit and the setting unit in rotation according to information delivered by the identification device. An independent claim is also included for a method for sorting animals. |
