The present invention relates to a method for distinguishing hot pepper species using a microsatellite marker for distinguishing hot pepper species that represent polymorphism for hot pepper species that are distributed in Korea and to a kit including the microsatellite marker. In particular, the present invention enables a user to select the combination of the microsatellite marker having high polymorphism for 170 hot pepper species that are distributed domestically and internationally and distinguish hot pepper species that are distributed in the Korean seed market by using same. A molecular marker for distinguishing the hot pepper species that is used in the method of the present invention not only can distinguish the 170 hot pepper species but also can be usefully used to inspect the purity of F1 seeds by having a marker that represents heterozygosity for distinguishing the parents of all species. Accordingly, when a seed conflict occurs between a farm and a seed company or between a seed company and another seed company, the present invention can be very usefully used in various fields comprising: providing arbitration means for solving the problem; investigating the authenticity of hot peppers that are circulating in the market; selecting comparison species when applying for species protection; pre-monitoring the infringement of rights; and confirming the purity of F1 seeds. |
