PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a linear light source device having high versatility to various irradiated objects different in longitudinal size, and high illumination uniformity in the longitudinal direction of a light irradiation region.SOLUTION: The linear light source device includes a plurality of LED array units arranged to form a row along one direction, and a plurality of cylindrical lenses arranged extending in one direction and connected to one another for projecting light from the LEDs of the LED array units. The adjacent LED array units have the LEDs arranged in such a pattern that they are in a mirror-image relationship with one another. A boundary surface between the end faces of the adjacent cylindrical lenses are located on the same plane as one of the symmetrical surfaces of mirror images relating to the adjacent LED array units. The end faces of the cylindrical lenses are formed as light reflecting surfaces which reflects light moving into the cylindrical lenses. |
