<p>Provided are a zoom lens and an imaging device using the same such that, along with a minimal number of lens groups and a reduction in size, a desired zoom ratio can be achieved and various aberrations are favorably corrected. A zoom lens (101) comprises sequentially from the object side: a first lens group (Gr1) having a negative refractive power, a second lens group (Gr2) having a positive refractive power, a third lens group (Gr3) having a negative refractive power, and a fourth lens group (Gr4) having a positive refractive power.
