A locking quick connect assembly 20 is provided for removably coupling a first tube 22 and a second tube 24. A quick connect housing 28 presents a central bore for receiving the second tube 24. A redundant latch component 76 positionable between an unlocked position and a locked position may be provided to slidingly engage the quick connect housing 28. A twist lock retainer 74 surrounds the quick connect housing 28 and the redundant latch component 76. The redundant latch component 76 includes an axially extending redundant latch retaining arm 90 and the twist lock retainer 74 includes a locking channel 96 for receiving the redundant latch retaining arm 90. The twist lock retainer 74 also includes a twist lock retaining arm 104 that locks against a bead 26 of the second tube 24 to resists separation. The twist lock retaining arm 104 extends perpendicularly to and radially inwardly of the locking channel 96 to interleavingly engage the redundant latch retaining arm 90 thus preventing unwanted decoupling of the assembly.
