PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively support large size paper of such a size as enlarged A3 paper in a simple manner without wasting energy and reducing productivity, in a fixing device including a plurality of halogen heaters for supporting various paper sizes.SOLUTION: A fixing belt as a fixing member has a halogen heater 82a having dense light distribution in the central part and a halogen heater 82b having dense light distribution at end parts arranged inside thereof. The fixing belt includes end part heaters 112 for heating the vicinities of the end parts in an axial direction of the fixing belt separately from these halogen heaters. The fixing device energizes the halogen heaters 82a and 82b, and the end part heaters 112 in feeding paper with a width of an enlarged A3 size (329 mm) or a 13-inch size (330 mm). |
