PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable reduction in a fuel consumption amount of an engine while controlling a battery charge-discharge energy balance to a desired value, of a hybrid vehicle incorporating an engine and a motor generator therein.SOLUTION: A hybrid-vehicle control device performs: setting an instructed fuel consumption change ratio at a given update cycle on the basis of travel pattern information and a target charge-discharge energy balance; and setting an engine output power increase-decrease amount to minimize an engine fuel consumption amount while controlling a battery charge-discharge energy balance to a given value (the target charge-discharge energy balance) in a given period on the basis of the instructed fuel consumption change ratio and a target drive power, where, if there are plural corresponding engine output power increase-decrease amounts, engine output power increase-decrease amounts of which a change ratio of the fuel consumption change ratio is a positive value are selected from among the plural engine output power increase-decrease amounts, and an engine output power increase-decrease amount of which an efficiency (a value produced by dividing a fuel consumption amount by an engine output power increase-decrease amount) is a minimum is selected from among the engine output power increase-decrease amounts. |
