PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing system that is able to reuse data about the result of interpretation, created during printing in the specification of the past imposition even in a case where the specification of imposition is changed.SOLUTION: A front end device 10 assigns a page to each interpretation device 20 in the page order of a document regardless of page output order corresponding to imposition, and informs a back end device 40 of reference information indicating that which page is assigned to which interpretation device 20. The interpretation device 20 interprets the assigned page, generates intermediate data, and stores the data in a spool device 30. The front end device 10 sends an output request together with output order information corresponding to imposition to the back end device 40. The back end device 40 specifies which spool device 30 has the intermediate data of each page, by referring to reference information, acquires, from the corresponding specified spool device 30, the intermediate data of each page in the page order indicated by the output order information, imposes the data, and causes a printer 50 to print the data. |
