PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a closer device for a sliding door capable of easily adjusting a speed in a closing stroke time of the sliding door in response to weight and travel performance of the sliding door.SOLUTION: A spring length adjustment mechanism 40 is provided for adjusting spring force of a tension spring 20 for pulling in a sliding door 9 toward a closing position from below a guide rail 3 in a state of exposing a housing 14 to a guide groove 4 of the guide rail 3 by the relative movement of its sliding door 9 and a suspender 5, by releasing the connection between the sliding door 9 and the door end side suspender 5, and the spring force of the tension spring 20 can be adjusted in a state of dispensing with removal of the guide rail 3 and extraction work of the housing 14 inserted into its inside for adjusting the spring force of the tension spring 20.
