<p>This system relates to an information processing system which connects a mobile phone unit to an output device in order to facilely output data in a format that can be processed by the output device. The information processing system is provided with a mobile phone unit and a server. The mobile phone unit is provided with: an assessment unit which, if an output device is connected via a communication interface, recognizes the output device in order to assess whether or not data of a format that can be processed by the output device can be output by the apparatus itself; a request unit which, if an assessment is made by the assessment unit that data that can be processed by the output device cannot be output by the apparatus itself, requests supply of data of a format that can be processed by the output device from a server that is connected via a wireless communication network; a receiving unit which receives the data supplied by the server; and a transmission unit which transmits the data received by the receiving unit to the output device via the communication interface. The server, in response to the request from the request unit, transmits the data of the format that can be processed by the output device to the mobile phone unit.</p> |
