PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent scratches on a photoreceptor and a belt body when an intermediate transfer unit and a transfer and conveyance unit are attached or removed to/from an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: A primary transfer roller 113 over which an intermediate transfer belt not shown is laid, and first and second driven rollers 102 and 103 are attached and supported by holding levers 116, 117, and 118 respectively. A first cam 120 is rotated by a cam driving motor 154 to move a contact/separation slider 119, so as to move the respective rollers to "a first position" or "a second position." When a grip 155 is manually moved, a second cam 121 is rotated to further move the contact/separation slider 119, so as to move the respective rollers to "a third position" where the intermediate transfer belt is largely separated from a photoreceptor. |
