PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved shell cracking machine capable of reducing the workload for cracking the shells of seeds compared with conventional machines.SOLUTION: A shell cracking machine M includes a shell cracking device 1 for cracking the shell of a seed B, the shell cracking machine M comprising a supporting base 4 for supporting the shell cracking device 1. The shell cracking device 1 comprises: a fixed holding piece 10 on which a fixed support face is formed to support one side of the seed B and which is fixed to the supporting base 4; a movable body A which is disposed opposed to the fixed support face and on which a movable support face is formed to support the other side of the seed B; and a driving device 5 for driving the movable body 5 to move the movable support face closer to or apart from the fixed support face. The driving device 5 comprises: a cam 50 whose outer peripheral surface 50a slidably contacts the movable body A; and a driving source for rotatively driving the cam 50. |
