<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress generation of low-temperature impact bubbles in a liquid crystal display device having a wall structure and to prevent damages in an electrode or the like in a substrate when manufacturing the device.SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device has a first substrate, a second substrate disposed to oppose to the first substrate, a liquid crystal layer 6 disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate, a wall structure 4 formed on the first substrate, a pixel electrode 8 disposed on at least a side face of the wall structure 4, and a common electrode 5 formed on the first substrate; and the liquid crystal display device includes a plurality of pixels including the pixel electrode 8 and the common electrode 5. The wall structure 4 partially includes a portion having a large height; and in the portion having a large height, the first substrate and the second substrate are in contact with each other.</p> |
