Abstract An insect-proof box, comprising: a receiving compartment having an opening and a frame around the opening; a door mounted on the frame to open or close the opening; at least one seal strip provided on at least one of the door and the frame and constructed to, when the door closes the opening, be pressed between the door and the frame to seal a first gap between the door and the frame; and at least one elastic metal sheet mounted on at least one of the door and the frame outside of the seal strip and constructed to, when the door closes the opening, render a second gap between the metal sheet and the door or the frame sufficient small so that insects cannot arrive the seal strip through the second gap. The insect-proof box not only has an excellent sealability, but also can prevent insects, such as white ants, from entering into the box. F ig. 5 |
