PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas recirculation device capable of improving controllability of an exhaust valve in which a seal material and a movable portion are in contact with each other.SOLUTION: An exhaust gas recirculation device includes an exhaust gas circulation passage for making an intake passage communicate with an exhaust passage, an exhaust valve, and a control device for controlling an opening of the exhaust valve. The exhaust valve has a disc for adjusting an amount of exhaust gas of the exhaust passage, a rotating shaft for transmitting power to rotate the disc, and a seal material disposed around the rotating shaft to air-tightly seal the exhaust passage. The control device calculates deviation of an actual opening of the exhaust valve from a target opening when it is determined that the exhaust valve exists within a prescribed range in the exhaust valve displacement direction, from the prescribed target opening, to displace the exhaust valve to the opening direction with prescribed driving power when the deviation is positive, and to displace the exhaust valve in the closing direction with prescribed power when the deviation is negative. |
