PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device capable of suppressing unevenness in temperature of a fixing member at the start of heating by a heating source, even when the fixing device includes a shield member.SOLUTION: A fixing device 20 comprises: a rotatable fixing belt 21; a halogen heater 23 that heats the fixing belt with radiation heat; a pressure roller 22 that is brought into contact with an outer peripheral surface of the fixing belt to form a nip part N; and a shield member 27 that shield heat from the halogen heater. The fixing device moves the shield member 27 from an initial position in association with the start of image formation, and moves the shield member to the initial position in association with the completion of the image formation. |
