PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable operation in two modes with two different bandwidths in accordance with different communications protocols by using a shared baseband processor in a wireless LAN system such as UWB.SOLUTION: In a system 102 to transmit information via one of the two bandwidths, a clock frequency 108 is set for a baseband processor 110 according to the bandwidth by frequency selection 106. The baseband processor processes digital information using the selected clock sampling frequency and supplies baseband signals 114 to an RF module. The RF module 116 upconverts the baseband signals to RF frequencies and transmits them. |
