PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the sheets to be unnecessarily consumed when a defect is detected in an image output by comparing a read image formed by reading a sheet with an inspection image, to print the image again.SOLUTION: When a defect is determined in an inspection result, a defect occurrence rate is calculated on the basis of information showing a past defect occurrence state of an image forming apparatus which forms and outputs an image. On the basis of the calculated defect occurrence rate, a completion probability that print processing in process can be completed within a predetermined number of printing operations is calculated. An instruction to stop the print processing in process is output to the image forming apparatus forming and outputting the image, on the basis of the calculated completion probability. |
