A power generation apparatus and method by means of a fitness exercise. The power generation apparatus by means of a fitness exercise comprises: at least one fitness device (17); an energy storage mechanism (22, 31), the energy storage mechanism being connected to the fitness device, and being used for converting and storing kinetic energy transmitted by the fitness device and outputting the kinetic energy by using an output mechanism (33) connected to the energy storage mechanism; a speed change mechanism (35), receiving the kinetic energy from the output mechanism, and adjusting the kinetic energy and then outputting the kinetic energy; and an electric generator (56), connected to the speed change mechanism and converting the adjusted kinetic energy into electric energy. The power generation apparatus by means of a fitness exercise can store and generate electric energy by using kinetic energy of a person doing a fitness exercise, and is used to solve or supplement a power demand in home, office, entertainment and sports sites, and can also be used a standby power supply in piezoelectricity or power supply interruption during power consumption peak hours. |
