Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for mapping and demodulating a channel. The method comprises: dividing an ePDCCH resource total set of a base station into a plurality of ePDCCH resource subspaces, and determining an ePDCCH region type corresponding to each ePDCCH resource subspace in each cell, a same ePDCCH region type of different cells being corresponding to a different ePDCCH resource subspace; determining a UE category of a user equipment (UE); and mapping, according a correspondence between to the UE category of the UE and the ePDCCH region type, an ePDCCH of the UE to the ePDCCH resource subspace corresponding the ePDCCH region type in a cell where the UE is located. By means of the present invention, the problem in the prior art can be solved that the interference of a controlled region between downlink cells in the LTE is serious.
