POWER SUPPLY FOR THE PITCH ACTUATORS OF AWIND TURBINE AND PROCESS OF RETROFITTING

A wind turbine comprising a tower, a fixed reference structure on top of the tower,and a rotor having a rotor hub with one or more turbine blades. The wind turbine further comprising one or more pitch actuators for rotating one or more of the turbine blades about their longitudinal axes,a pitch power supply for supplying power to the pitch actuators,and a mechanical transmission for transmitting energy from the rotation of the rotor hub relative to the fixed reference structure to the pitch power supply. A first part of the mechanical transmission is connected to the rotor and a second part of the mechanical transmission is connected to the fixed reference structure.
