PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control apparatus of automatic transmission capable of preventing a reduction in durability of an engaging clutch even if there is a new shift request requiring a changing-over of operation control for the engaging clutch during a transmission control.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a control apparatus of automatic transmission comprising an automatic transmission having an engaging clutch acting as a transmission element and a transmission controller for performing a transmission control of the automatic transmission. The transmission controller determines whether or not the transmission control can be continuously performed through a first transmission request on the basis of the transmission torque of the engaging clutch when a second transmission request occurs, in the case there is the second transmission request such that the engaging clutch is connected/released in the midway of the transmission control for releasing/connecting the engaging clutch under the first transmission request. |
