PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve productivity of double-sided printing.SOLUTION: When images on a front face and a rear face are both an image formed of two colors of black and magenta, an image forming apparatus allocates the image formed of black and magenta on the rear face to an exposure device 11Bk for black and an exposure device 11M for magenta to be subjected to development processing, and allocates the image formed of black and magenta on the front face to an exposure device 11C for cyan and an exposure device 11Y for yellow to be subjected to the development processing (subjected to development processing taking two pages of image as one-page image data). The image forming apparatus then prints the image formed of black and magenta on the rear face with the exposure device 11Bk for black and the exposure device 11M for magenta, and prints the image formed of black and magenta on the front face also with the exposure device 11Bk for black and the exposure device 11M for magenta in place of the exposure device 11C for cyan and the exposure device 11Y for yellow.
