<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of quickly charging a replenishment toner even when a large amount toner is replenished in a short period such as during image density adjustment, suppressing the occurrence of scumming and scattering of toner, and preventing acceleration of deterioration of a developer.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus creates a gradation pattern and detects the gradation pattern with a photosensor during, for example, image density adjustment, and determines whether or not developmentγis within a predetermined range. When the developmentγis not within the predetermined range and low, the image forming apparatus increases the rotation speed of a stirring screw, for example, to increase the conveying speed of developer, then performs replenishment of toner, and returns the conveying speed of developer to the original speed after the replenishment.</p> |
