<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which is capable of stabilizing the conveyance attitude of a sheet, with a simple configuration.SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: a transfer part 22 transferring an image onto a sheet P, while conveying the sheet in a transfer nip N1; a fixing part 14 fixing the image to the sheet conveyed from the transfer part, while conveying the sheet in a fixing nip N2; a sheet conveyance guide 18 disposed between the transfer part and the fixing part and having a guide surface guiding the conveyance of the sheet; a sheet detection part 20 disposed in the sheet conveyance guide and detecting the sheet; and a control part 100 controlling the sheet conveyance speed of at least one of the transfer part and the fixing part, according to the output of the sheet detection part, so that the conveyance attitude of the sheet nipped and conveyed in both of the transfer nip and the fixing nip is maintained to a predetermined conveyance attitude. In the image forming apparatus, the guide surface of the sheet conveyance guide has an area H recessed deepest in an area between the transfer part and the sheet detection part.</p> |
