PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to perform calibration of output density easily without using a spectroscopy chromatometer.SOLUTION: A calibration method of the embodiment is a calibration method performed by an image formation device which indicates density of an image to be formed on a recording medium by an image point area, and includes a printing process in which a chart image of a preset stipulated density is formed on the recording medium, an acquiring process which a picked-up image is acquired by expanding each image pint included in the chart image formed in a distinguishable manner, an area calculation process in which an area of each image point included in the chart image is calculated based on the acquired picked-up image, a deviation amount calculation process in which the deviation amount between the image point area to be formed at the stipulated density and the calculated image point area is calculated, and a calibration process in which correlation information indicating a correlation relationship of an energy amount applied to the image forming part for each density upon forming the image on the recording medium is calibrated based on the calculated deviation amount. |
