In order to generate a high-quality stereoscopic image, an imaging device (110) is provided with: a first imaging unit (300), a second imaging unit (310), and an image signal processing unit (320). The image signal processing unit is configured so that said unit: on the basis of a first image signal, cuts out at least part of a second image signal and generates a cut-out image signal; determines whether or not at least one image signal of the first image signal and the second image signal has a specified pattern; calculates parallax information on the basis of the first image signal and the cut-out image signal and corrects the parallax information if it is determined that at least one image signal has the specified pattern; and generates a new second image signal on the basis of the first image signal and the parallax information or the corrected parallax information.
