PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening/closing device, even when dead weight of an opening/closing body which is required for falling of the opening/closing body under dead weight may be deficient when operation of brake which keeps the opening/closing body in an opening part fully opened state is released, capable of moving the opening/closing body in the direction closing the opening part when the brake is released, to close the opening part by the opening/closing body.SOLUTION: The opening/closing device includes an opening/closing body (shutter curtain 3) for opening/closing an opening 9, a shaft 8 positioned above the opening part for taking up the opening/closing body, a brake 22 for keeping a state in which the opening/closing body is taken up on the shaft to fully open the opening part, and elastic means 31 for accumulating elastic force for energizing the opening/closing body in a direction in which the opening part is closed until a state in which the opening/closing body is positioned at the opening part comes to be a state in which the opening part is fully opened. When the brake is released, the opening/closing body is energized in the direction to close the opening part by the elastic force accumulated in the elastic means. |
