PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a release film for production of a green sheet which prevents occurrence of pinholes in the surface of a green sheet and enables production of a green sheet with high reliability and its production method.SOLUTION: A release film for production of a green sheet is used in production of a green sheet and includes a first surface and a second surface, a smoothing layer formed on the first surface of the substrate and a release agent layer formed on the surface of the smoothing layer opposite to the substrate. The smoothing layer is formed by irradiating, with active energy rays, a composition for formation of the smoothing layer containing an active energy ray curable compound to harden. The outer surface of the release agent layer has an arithmetic average height Raof 8 nm or smaller and a maximum protrusion height Rpof 50 nm or smaller. |
