PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for assembling a heat insulation member for a cylinder bore wall capable of easily assembling a heat insulation member for a cylinder bore wall within a grooved cooling water flow passage.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a heat insulation member for a cylinder bore wall characterized in that there is provided a contact surface to be contacted with a wall surface of a grooved cooling water flow passage of the cylinder bore wall of a cylinder block of an internal combustion engine, a location forming the contact surface is made of rubber material or resin material, and a rate of an actual contact area in respect to an area of forming range of the contact surface ((an actual contact area/an area of forming range of the contact surface)×100) is within a range of 1 to 50%. |
