PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric machine and a vehicle power device in which magnetic coupling is improved so as to enable size reduction compared with hitherto, allowing a higher torque for the same size.SOLUTION: A rotary electric machine 10A (10) comprises: an armature stator 11; a first field rotor 14a; a modulator inductor 13 which is interposed between the armature stator 11 and the first field rotor 14a; and a second field rotor 12a which is interposed between the armature stator 11 and the modulator inductor 13, and is provided with a magnet 12m having the same number of pole pairs as the armature stator 11. With this constitution, magnetic resistance on the second field rotor 12a side viewed from the armature stator 11 decreases to increase magnetic coupling. Magnetic fluxes generated by the armature stator 11 and the second field rotor 12a are merged so that the rotation force (torque) of the modulator inductor 13 or the first field rotor 14a increases. Thus, the size can be reduced compared with hitherto, allowing a higher torque for the same size. |
