PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of an unglazed porcelain having a surface with a color denatured by firing, with use of shell only.SOLUTION: A greenware formed of porcelain raw material with or without contacting shell disposed in a furnace is heated to 900°C and held at the temperature for several tens of minutes. Heating is then stopped and the furnace is cooled. The unglazed porcelain taken out from the furnace is disposed in a furnace and heated to 1300°C in an oxidizing or reducing atmosphere and held at the temperature for several tens of minutes. Heating is then stopped and the furnace is cooled. Such a manufacturing method produces a porcelain having a color denatured by firing. |
