A method for machine-to-machine communication is disclosed in the embodiments of the present invention and comprises: obtaining a trigger message which carries identification information of a target network device; analyzing the trigger message to obtain the identification information; and establishing, by means of the identification information, a communication connection between a local target communication layer and a target communication layer of the target network device. Correspondingly, a User Equipment (UE) and a network device are also disclosed in the embodiments of the present invention. With the embodiments of the present invention, a communication connection is established between a layer of the UE and a layer of the network device. |
