<p>The present invention enables fluctuations in the pressure inside of a cuff to be suppressed and the pressure inside of the cuff to be uniformly maintained with good precision. Also, the present invention enables the inside of the cuff to be easily and quickly set to an appropriate pressure and for such pressure to be maintained, the ease of use of a cuff pressure adjuster to be improved, and the safety thereof to be improved. More specifically, provided is a cuff pressure adjuster for adjusting the pressure of a cuff provided so as to be in close contact with the trachea, wherein the adjuster has a pressure adjusting mechanism in which by using an adjustment spring to impel an adjustment bag which is in communication with the cuff, pressure fluctuations in the adjustment bag are suppressed. Also, provided is a pump configured so that the operations performed thereby can be switched among an operation for forcibly supplying air to the cuff, an operation for forcibly exhausting air from the cuff, and an operation for stopping the supply and exhausting of air.</p> |
