The present invention relates to a multi-language search system, multi-language search method, and image search system, based on the meaning of a word. A multi-language search system according to the present invention includes: a meaning-based word database for storing a plurality of meaning groups classified according to the meaning of each of the words of multiple different languages; a multi-language keyword extraction part for extracting the word of each language from the meaning group to which a keyword inputted through a communications network belongs; and a multi-language search part for providing the search result based on the word of each language extracted by the multi-language keyword extraction part. Thus, when inputting a keyword of a particular language, the search result is provided only for the words of the other languages having the same meaning as the keyword of the particular language.
