A brake disc having a pattern of grooves machined into each opposing surface of brake bands of a brake disc; said grooves limited to a set of inner arcuate grooves and a set of outer arcuate grooves; said inner arcuate grooves extending outwardly from an inner circumferential edge of said brake band surface to proximate a mid portion of the brake band surface; said outer arcuate grooves extending outwardly from proximate said mid portion of the brake band surface to an outer circumferential edge of the brake band surface; said pattern providing equal braking performance independent of direction of rotation. |
