PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control temperature in a heat insulated housing of a cooling box more efficiently, and to reduce power consumption.SOLUTION: A cooling box includes: a storage box for storing an object to be cooled; a cooling device for cooling the inside of the storage box by evaporating a cooling medium by an evaporator; an in-box temperature sensor for detecting a temperature inside the storage box; a first heater for melting frost adhered to the evaporator; a drain pan for receiving water droplets or frost dripping from the evaporator; a second heater for heating the drain pan; and a control device for making the cooling device operate intermittently so that the detection temperature of the in-box temperature sensor becomes between an upper limit allowable temperature and a lower limit allowable temperature in the storage box, and for making the first heater and the second heater operate during the period in which the operation of the cooling device is stopped. When the ratio of an operation period of the cooling device in a predetermined period becomes below a predetermined value, the control device controls in such a manner that the operation of the second heater is not performed during the period in which the operation of the cooling device is stopped. |
